OK, you "do it yourselfers". Being a chocolate alchemist sometimes means making your own equipment. Well, I am going to be building a new cocoa roaster for myself (actually for you, it is for your Kits) and I thought it might be nice for people to follow along and maybe build their own.
Now before you start thinking, no way, I can't do that just ask your self if you can use a few basic tools. Circular saw, jig saw, drill? If you can do that, then you can build the roaster I have planned. No fancy lathes, or heavy metal working tools. Just simple, efficient, cost effective construction.
So, if you have an interest, or just want to follow along, head over to the Forum, under the Roasting section in the Home Roaster thread.

I am getting ready to start my own business making chocolate candies. When I planned this all out the one thing I wanted to do was to be able to prpare all of my chocolate from scratch so i wouldn't be buying it in bulk from other companies and using there specific chocolate taste. I found your site and i want to say THANK YOU. I used ask.com to find you and i am glad i did. Now I can start to make my own chocolate at home and hopefully i come up with something to help make some much needed extra cash for mysef and my family. Thanks again
Rose

I have been interested in chocolate for a few years now and have went out and bought chocolate around town. Although I have played with chocolate and molds some, I have yet to make my own chocolate. Experimenting with making chocolate is more of my interest though. I just have yet to do that. I'm not sure if I would pursue anything serious, but it is a possibility.

I have a grammer error in there. I meant I have gone out and bought chocolate around town.

I am looking to buy chocolate from someone who make it at home using your equipment. My daughter is alergic to tree nuts and peanuts. I have searched worldwide and have not located a type of organic chocolate that is made in a nut free facility. I am desparate. Please help me.
